THE LIST IS OUTDATED, approx 60% of the addresses listed have actually been removed from the police's list at 2008-06-18.

The list on this page is a sample of a list collected by the Finnish Police, who claims the sites listed contain child porn. However, this list is not a list of child porn sites, it's a list of censored sites. I haven't checked nearly all of the addresses, but according to third a party review, the list only contains very little child porn.

The IP address listed is the actual numeric internet address of the censored server. The country is looked up from GeoLite database and should be accurate for most of the entries (the provider MaxMind promises over 98% accuracy). The reverse name is a name obtained by looking up the name from the ip address. This is often a more accurate name for the server, although sometimes the reverse name is falsificated.

The list has been obtained by scanning link lists from porn sites and then few steps forward from there. It's not perfect, but the huge amount of sites that have been censored for invalid reasons should be absolutely clear anyway. The filters are not active with all ISPs, but the largest ones have promised to implement them and begin censoring the internet traffic of their users by end of the january.

Update 2008-02-06: According to the Finnish police, it's enough to get on the censorship list if the page includes working links to child porn sites. Thus, I have enabled an option to view the list with clickable links. This means my page should now qualify for the criteria of censorship.

Update 2008-02-17: I found one link from the list which absolutely certainly contained child porn, and removed it from display. The removed link was something I've reported to authorities almost a year ago myself, and for some reason the domain name is still active and the business is going on. The domain seems to be known by the Internet Watch Foundation as well, so I'm wondering how can it take the over a year to get a domain name shut down or has anyone even tried?

Update 2008-02-24: Ok, I got sick and tired of everyone asking to have their websites removed from the list. I know most of them are legit, but I'm just too tired. One particular fellow pushed me over the edge, so I'm restoring all the hidden items back to the list. Here's the mail he sent. I won't be removing legit sites from the list anymore, I'll see what I'll do once police removes them from their blocklist...
